Organizers/Planners

How to Use

Organizers or planners can be incredibly helpful in managing your time and planning your daily and weekly schedule. It can seem overwhelming at first, however, so there are several guidelines you can follow to ensure your organizer stays organized and up-to-date! For starters, you need to determine what you will be using your organizer for. Some people like to have everything written down, including what time they will wake up, when they will eat, and so forth. This can clutter up your planner, however, and may make it confusing for some people. Ideally, you should use your planner for important business or work meetings and other dates. That way, your planner isn’t filled up with information that isn’t very important. It also allows you to be more flexible. Organizers are also perfect for social events. If you know you have a dinner date Friday night or a party to attend Sunday afternoon, you are far less likely to forget about it if you have it written down in your planner. You can also write down any important notes or other information underneath the time, reminding you if you need to bring anything or pickup someone.

Different Types

With thousands of different planners out there, it can be difficult to know which one is best for you. Everyone has their own unique tastes and preferences, so it really comes down to personal preference. You will want to select a planner that fits your needs and lifestyle. For example, you may want a more professional one for use at the office, and a more personal or stylized one for use at home. If your entire family is using it, however, you may want to use a large calendar instead. You also need to consider the size and weight of your planner. If you are constantly taking it between work and home, you will want one light and easy to transport. If it stays at your work, however, you could go for a fancier one that is heavier and more professional. Lastly, you need to determine your price limit. There are cheap planners you can get, or very expensive one. It may be a good idea to determine exactly what you are looking for in a planner before you go out looking, so you know what you can expect to pay.

Pros & Cons

There are many advantages to keeping a planner or organizer. For starters, it allows you to keep track of all important dates or events. This can be very useful if you have a lot of business meetings to attend, or if you are constantly travelling and need to catch flights. Personal planners are also useful, because you can write down important dates like birthdays, or keep track of when other events are happening in your life. This way, you are far less likely to forget that you were supposed to be somewhere. There are some disadvantages, however. You should avoid writing private information in your planner, such as your credit card info or other security details. If you ever lost your planner, this could then be accessed by a stranger, which could be a risk to your security.
